GOLF STATE FINALS INFORMATION Panther Nation, Assemble! Delton Kellogg Boys Golf Heads to State Finals at Bedford Valley DELTON, MI — It is time to paint Battle Creek maroon and white! Our Delton Kellogg Panther boys golf team has advanced to the MHSAA Division 3 State Finals. Even better? The tournament is taking place right in our backyard at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek tomorrow, Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, 2026. Because the course is just a short drive away, we need a massive sea of Panther fans to show up and support the boys as they chase a state title. If you are planning to head out and cheer them on, here is everything you need to know to be the ultimate (and rule-abiding) spectator. Tournament Schedule The tournament features a 36-hole stroke-play format spread across two days. Action begins promptly with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on both Friday and Saturday. Fan Admission & Parking Getting into the event is simple, but make sure you bring some cash for the gate. Admission Fee: Spectator admission is $10.00 per car, per day. How it Works: The fee is payable directly at the parking lot entrance of the venue. It doesn't matter if you pack a coupe or a full-sized SUV—you are paying for the parking spot, so carpooling with fellow Panther fans is highly encouraged! (Vehicles explicitly transporting the rostered players are admitted for free). Strict Spectator Cart Policy If you are planning on riding around the course, you'll want to pivot your plans. Motorized spectator carts are strictly prohibited at the MHSAA Finals. You should expect to walk the course to follow the action. Medical Exceptions: Exceptions are only made to accommodate spectators with mobility-related disabilities. To request a cart, you must provide the host course and Finals Manager with one of the following: - A state-issued handicapped parking permit. - A formal physician's statement. - A disability insurance award letter or VA confirmation letter. If approved, medical carts are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and will cost $20.00 per round. If the course runs out of carts, a shuttle service will be provided to help transport disabled individuals to designated viewing areas. MHSAA Spectator Conduct: Know the Rules! High school golf tournament officials take etiquette very seriously, and rules violators will be removed from the course immediately. To ensure you don't accidentally cause a penalty for our golfers, please memorize these guidelines: Keep Your Distance: Spectators must maintain a reasonable gallery distance from all players. The MHSAA defines this as a minimum of 25 yards when observing play between the tee and the green. Fans are not permitted to enter the fairway, tee box, or putting greens at any time during competition. Zip the Lips (No Advice): You cannot give golf advice or strategic tips to any player, nor can players ask you for it. General words of encouragement (like "Great shot!") are perfectly fine, but actual communication about the game is banned. Put the Phones Away: Spectators are strictly prohibited from using cell phones or electronic devices on the course to communicate with players or coaches. Doing so will get you escorted off the property. Banned Substances: The use of alcohol, tobacco, and e-cigarettes/vapes is entirely prohibited at all MHSAA tournament events by players, coaches, and spectators alike. Let's make Bedford Valley feel like a home course for Grady, Carter, Jason, Ty, Owen, and Gabe! Wear your school colors, respect the game's historic etiquette, and let's go Panthers!
