PANTHER PRIDE: Delton Kellogg Track Stars Excel at Division 3 State Finals KENT CITY — The Delton Kellogg Panthers track and field team capped off a memorable season this past Saturday, May 30th, delivering outstanding performances at the MHSAA LP Division 3 State Finals. Facing off against the premier athletes in the state at Kent City High School, the Panthers rose to the occasion, walking away with top-20 finishes and several career-best marks. Senior Nick Muday led the charge for the Panthers in the field events, competing in a highly competitive Pole Vault competition. Muday cleared an impressive height of 12 feet, 9 inches, securing a spot in a multi-competitor tie for 10th place overall in the state. The Panthers kept the momentum rolling on the track, particularly in the demanding 300-meter hurdles events. In the boys' division, sophomore Ryan Sinclair rose to the challenge on the state’s biggest stage. Sinclair raced to a 20th-place finish, crossing the finish line in a blistering career-best time of 42.53 seconds to establish a new personal record. Delton Kellogg's hurdles success wasn't limited to the boys' side. Senior Izabelle Gruber turned in a phenomenal performance of her own in the girls' 300-meter hurdles. Gruber fought through a stellar field to claim 14th place in the state, clocking a career-best time of 48.51 seconds. It was a personal-best mark that served as a perfect exclamation point to her high school career.
