Delton Kellogg Middle School Track Stars Shine at Galesburg-Augusta GALESBURG — The Delton Kellogg Middle School track and field teams traveled to Galesburg-Augusta High School on Wednesday, May 6th, to face off against the Rams. In a meet filled with personal bests and dominant distance performances, the Panthers showcased their depth across both the boys' and girls' divisions. Women’s Team Dominates the Track The Delton Kellogg girls' team put on a clinic, particularly in the sprints and middle-distance events. Arabelle Allersma was a standout performer, capturing first place in the 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 1:05.1 and securing another victory in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:07.2. Kayli Deboer proved to be the fastest on the track for the 100-meter dash, taking first with a personal best of 13.7. The Panthers' momentum continued as Aaliyah Culver swept her way to victory in the 200-meter dash (31.6) and the long jump, where she leapt a personal best of 13' 10". Other notable victories for the girls included: Lylah McLellen: 1st in 55m Hurdles (10.8 PB). Kinnley Watson: 1st in 200m Hurdles (33.3 PB). Madison Bell: Tied for 1st in High Jump (4' 4") and took 2nd in the 100m dash. 4x100 Relay: The team of Allersma, Watson, Addison Reneau, and Deboer took 1st place with a time of 59.4. Macoy and Schouten Lead the Boys On the boys' side, Trace Macoy was the king of the distance events. Macoy claimed first place in both the 800-meter (2:38.2) and the 1600-meter (6:12.8) runs. Owen Schouten also had a busy and successful day. He tied for first in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 31.6 and earned a second-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles with a personal best of 10.3. Schouten and Macoy also teamed up with Dino Rogers and Marshall King to win the 4x200 relay in 1:58.5. In the field, Brody McBride delivered a strong performance in the shot put, taking second place with a personal record of 36' 0.5". He also contributed on the track with a third-place finish in the 70-meter dash (10.6 PB). Jason May added to the Panthers' tally with a second-place finish in the long jump, clearing 15' 6".
