Delton Kellogg Dominates: Panthers Secure Double Silver at SAC Jamboree FENNVILLE, MI – The Delton Kellogg middle school track and field teams made a resounding statement at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SAC) Jamboree on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Competing at Fennville High School, both the boys' and girls' squads sprinted, jumped, and threw their way to impressive second-place overall finishes in a field of six competitive programs. The Men’s Middle School team amassed 112.5 points, finishing just behind Lawton, while the Women’s team secured their silver standing with 95 points. --- Boys’ Highlights: Speed and Strength The Panther boys were a force in the sprints and hurdles, led by several individual champions who refused to be caught. Sprinting Success: Jason May blazed a trail in the 200m Finals, taking 1st place with a personal best of 25.9 seconds. He also leaped to a 2nd place finish in the Long Jump with a distance of 15' 3". Distance & Hurdles: Dakota Poirier claimed the gold in the 800m Finals (2:24.2), while Brayden Lutz (10.4s) and Owen Schouten (30.5s) swept the 1st place spots in the 55m and 200m hurdles, respectively. Relay Power: The 4x400 relay team, consisting of Owen Schouten, Trace Macoy, Dakota Poirier, and Brayden Lutz, took home 1st place with a time of 4:17.9. The 4x200 relay team of May, Archer NeSmith, Schouten, and Lutz also secured 2nd place (1:48.6). Field Dominance: The Panthers showed off their muscle in the Shot Put, with Archer NeSmith (35' 4") and Brody McBride (34' 11") securing 2nd and 3rd place finishes. --- Girls’ Highlights: Allersma Leads the Charge On the girls' side, the story of the day was the incredible endurance of Arabelle Allersma, who owned the distance events. The Distance Double: Allersma dominated the track, taking 1st place in both the 1600m (5:31.8) and the 3200m (11:10.7), the latter being a personal best. Vertical Victory: Aaliyah Culver reached new heights, clearing 4' 6" to take 1st place in the High Jump. She also showed her versatility by placing 2nd in the 200m (29.4s) and 3rd in the Long Jump (J13' 5"). Relay Excellence: The girls' relay teams were nearly unstoppable. The 4x100 team (Kinnley Watson, Nadia Birman, Madison Bell, and Addison Reneau) took 1st with a time of 58.4 seconds. The 4x400 team (Allersma, Watson, Olivia Gonzalez, and Reneau) also clinched 1st place at 4:44.1. Sprints and Throws: Olivia Gonzalez secured 2nd place in the 400m (1:08.3), while Susie Bever threw a personal best of 22' 10" to take 4th in the Shot Put. The Panthers proved they are a well-rounded program, capable of scoring points in every discipline from the starting blocks to the throwing pits. With numerous personal bests set during the meet, the future looks bright for Delton Kellogg track and field. The Panthers will finish their season on their home track, this Thursday, May 14th with Field events starting at 4:00, and Track events following at 4:30.
