Middle School Track & Field Results -- May 4th

Delton Kellogg Middle School Track & Field Competes in Multi-Team Meet DELTON, MI — The Delton Kellogg Middle School Track & Field teams hosted Schoolcraft, Allegan (L.E. White), and Martin on Monday, May 4, putting together a strong showing across both the boys and girls competitions. On the girls side, Delton Kellogg delivered an outstanding performance, winning multiple head-to-head matchups throughout the meet, including victories over Schoolcraft (98–24), Allegan (70–53), and Martin (75–51) . The Panthers were fueled by dominant efforts in distance events, relays, and hurdles. Leading the way was Arabelle Allersma, who had a phenomenal day, winning both the 1600m (5:17.80) and 3200m (11:15.59), establishing herself as one of the top distance runners in the field . In the 800m, Addison Reneau captured first place (2:36.53), and also contributed to multiple relay victories. The Panthers also found success in the relays, taking first in the 4x100 relay (57.15) and the 4x400 relay (4:41.50), showcasing depth and teamwork across the lineup . In the hurdles, Kinnley Watson secured a first-place finish in the 200m hurdles (34.26), while Grace Meyers added a strong third-place finish in the 55m hurdles. In field events, Delton Kellogg continued to shine with Madison Bell winning the high jump (4’6”), while Susie Bever placed third in shot put and multiple Panthers contributed solid finishes in long jump. On the track, Olivia Gonzalez earned a first-place finish in the 400m (1:11.20), while the Panthers also placed multiple athletes in the top finishes of sprint events, including strong performances from Aaliyah Culver, Kayli DeBoer, and Nadia Birman . On the boys side, Delton Kellogg battled competitively throughout the meet, highlighted by several event victories and top-three finishes. The Panthers earned a head-to-head win over Martin (62–65 score comparison flipped in another matchup) and remained competitive against both Allegan and Schoolcraft . A standout performance came from Owen Schouten, who won the 200m hurdles (33.38), while also contributing to the team’s success in relays . The Panthers’ 4x200 relay team captured first place (1:52.69), showcasing strong sprint depth and coordination. In distance events, Trace Macoy placed second in the 800m (2:35.79) and third in the 1600m (5:47.14), leading the Panthers’ efforts in the longer races . Field events also proved to be a strength, as Dakota Poirier took first in the high jump (4’8”), and Delton Kellogg dominated the shot put with Archer NeSmith (2nd), Brody McBride (3rd), and Brock Bissett (4th) all placing near the top of the leaderboard . In the long jump, Jason May earned a strong second-place finish (16’4.5”). The Panthers also added a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay (4:29.67) and a second-place finish in the 4x100 relay, continuing to show well-rounded team success across events. Overall, it was a strong day for Delton Kellogg Middle School Track & Field, with the girls team delivering dominant performances and the boys team competing hard across the board. The Panthers will look to build on this momentum as they compete in the conference championship meet in Fennville on Thursday, May 7th. Let’s go Panthers!
